    Implantation bleeding
    Hello-
Could someone please give me some advice, I'm 23 years old, I already have two children and my periods were weird with them but not like this one! I've been on the same pill for almost 2 years now and I'm there is a possibility that I could be pregnant. My last normal period was on January 23 which is normal, usually when I start I start! It's dark clotty a lot of times and there! Bright bright red! Well on the 28th I started my normal pack of pill like usual, then on the 29th of January I forgot so I doubled ont eh 30th I usually forget like once a month, then I got sick and got and antibiotic started that on feb 7th, we had intercourse on the 6th 7th and the 11th then on the 12 I got a weird clear discharge with red streaks in it, then on the 15th of feb I got some more funky discharge, then on the 20th I started my period but it's been really light like faint pink almost brown, today it's been a hair darker but there's a lot of clear discharge in it, but also pink like one minute it's more red then the next minute it's pink again like it can't make up it's mind if its coming or going, I'm not really stressed about it I mean I have cramps and everything, not strong hard cramps just slight cramps, but lower then normal, I took two pregnancy tests one on Friday 16th and one on Monday the 19th and they said negative, so do you think this is implantation bleeding for just a screwy period and if you think it is when would a pregnancy test detect pregnancy? I've had this bleeding now for two days and it's just really lighty?

Its possible its just a screwy cycle this time, because of the missed pill and antibiotics and such. However, when the day for your expected period comes, if your period doesn't come, take a test. Usually it detects hcg levels good enough to be accurate the first day of your missed period. However, there are women who's hcg levels aren't high enough to register on an hpt and need a blood test to confirm pregnancy. So I would wait until you expect your period. If I doesn't come, take a test. If its negative, wait 1-2 weeks, if its still not there, take another test. After that, if its still negative, and still no period, I would schedule an appointment with your ob/gyn.

You should also know that many antibiotics make the pill less effective, so when prescribed an antibiotic you should check with your pharmacist/chemist/druggist if this will affect your contraception.

Antibiotics can affect the pills reliability, also the pill is not 100% safe, so there is a possibility you could be pregnant, for information on implantation bleeding, go to:-
