    13 days late negative hpt
Hi, I'm 26 years old and had a tubal litigation in July of 2009 after my second child. My last period was February 28th. I am now 13 days late for my period. I took a hpt yesterday afternoon and it was negative. Could I still be pregnant? Any advice?

Hello, it's always possible but something should have shown up by now, that said I had the same problem with my first pregnancy, they found her on a scan in the end! Go and see your doctor as something is obviously going on, they can do a pregnancy test via drawing blood which should be a lot more accurate than urine tests, and they will investigate what other reasons there could be for a period being so late. The tubal may or may not have been unsuccessful, usually scarring develops after a time and stops anything passing through the tubes but it's not unheard of for a fertilized egg to find a way through in some people, my mother had clips, huge clips too! And they seemed to have done the job for the last 26 years or so, but she told me once; the risk of it not working goes down with time as the scarring builds up, it depends on what kind of tubal you had I would guess, but your doctor will be able to inform you a lot better on the matter, and will have your notes for reference also. Good luck sweet, I hope you get some answers xxx
