Claiming US-India tax treat on MA state form
    Hi,

I am an Indian citizen studying in the US and have stayed here for 5 years. I am filing state tax in MA as a resident. The online state tax asks for an option in wage related deductions as: "Is any of the income reported as wages or salaries from your W-2s exempt under a U.S. Tax Treaty?"
Does this mean that I can claim US-India tax treaty for additional deduction?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Negative, because the only exemption you get under the tax treaty is the standard deduction, and you are already getting that on the state return.
