My mum has brought it up a time or two... But she always ends it with, "you don't need a bra"... But I'm think I do! My best friends thinks I do, so does my sis. I'm 9, but you can see them through my shirt (I have to wear a tank top under one shirt) please help!

Your mum is the BEST person to talk to about this, but it's unlikely at 9.

So don't wear that shirt or any other that you can see them through.

I agree at 9 it is unlikely you need a bra. But my question is what can someone see? If they can see small mounds well that is natural and you probably don't have enough to warrant a bra. However, some girls develop so that their nipples start sticking out or they "bud" where there is not so much a mound but little buds sticking out.

If that's what you have, then yes you may need something more, so show your mother how you are developing.

The current fashion trend is to layer. Wear a cotton t-shirt under your tops. That should solve the problem. Or have your mom buy you a camisole to wear under your sweaters and knit tops.
