How oftern to replace spark plug wires 2005 Taurus?
My car only has 34,000 miles at this time. Do wires need replacing anyway? How about the plugs, because of the age?

If you have the Vulcan engine, I would replace the wires every 60,000 miles. If you have the Duratec engine (coil-on-plug), you shouldn't have to replace them. Replace the spark plugs every 50,000 miles (only use Motorcraft Iridium plugs) or 3 years, whichever comes first. This helps prevent plugs seizing in the aluminum heads.

The weak link on any FWD car is the automatic transmission. Be sure to drop and clean the pan and magnet, change the filter, and refill with Mercon V ATF every 30,000 miles. The pan gasket is reuseable.

Will replace both since the car is 7.5 years old. Rainy weather seems to cause some mileage loss. Thanks, especially since you're a believing man.
