    Immune System question
Post-secondary student about to do A levels
    From Malta

Am I correct to think that cell mediated immunity (3rd line of defense) occurs at the tissue level while humoral immunity occurs in the blood and lymph?

Regarding cell-mediated immunity, am I correct to think that T cells engulf macrophages which have engulfed a foreign particle? Can T cells engulf tissue cells apart from macrophages

During a humoral response we know that B lymphocyte recognizes antigen and then B cells proliferate and antibodies are released so that antigen can be recognized by eosinophils, neutrophils, monocytes in the blood. Will T cells recognise these cells and then break them down as well just like they do with infected macrophages ?

Thanks all for your much appreciated help
