    B&S engine 42e707 2631e1, carb float
I am having issues with my craftsman rider surging and using a lot of fuel. I believe it is caused by a bad float but not 100% sure. I did order a float for the carb but the float I was sent is made by OREGON P# 49-362 it say on package it is a replacement for B&S P# 692265. The problem is this float is to small it won't fit down into the lowerhalf of the Cab.

I ordered a rebuild kit for this Carb also and once again found that a lot of the stuff in the kit won't work in it either. On the side of the Carb I can almost make out a number #692 812 this number don't match up to my engine data but I have traced it to other Carbs for sale on the web that are advertised for this particular engine.

I can buy a new carb for about $150 but I would much rather fing a float to fix this issue since it is only about $15.

    Hi,
I show it it as B&S part #693512. I did not find an aftermarket part.
    Peace,
    Clarke
