I returned back from US on 15 Dec 2010 and was not in US for the whole year 2011. However I received around $5000 as leave encashment in Mar 2011. I am trying to submit the Tax returns but as my stay in US is for zero days in 2011 so I am not able to submit it online. Please advise how shall I proceed with my tax return submission.

You need to file the return as a non-resident alien, filing Form 1040NR-EZ and claiming as an itemized deduction any state income taxes withheld. You will probably get a refund, but it will not be quite as big as would you have gotten had you been able to file it on-line.
