    Apple login duplication
Got an apple iPad. NOT very literate. Somehow put in two different Id's. The main I'd is OK. It has my correct email address tied to it & works so I can log into my account. BUT : the id for entry to store & iTunes etc is different & is attached to an email address that doesn't exist, so that when I try to update it, the iPad sends a verification email to the non existent address for me to respond to --- and of course I cannot do it. How can I resolve this problem pulse so that all parts of this account r the same. Greg

So if I'm reading this right you can log in to the itunes store? Okay... here goes:

    1. Tun on itunes

    2. On the top it says 'store' click on it and go down to 'view my account' click on that.

    3. A screen will pop up that will require your password, put in the password but don't change the e-mail address yet.

    4. Once logged in it will have a list of your information including the apple ID on top next to it, it will say 'edit' click on it.

    5. Edit the information you want to change and then click 'Done' on the bottom.

That should solve your problem. If you have any other issues let me know and I can try to help.

Excellent. Thank you for your time. However my iPad has recorded one apple ID that lets me get into the area u described above --- but when trying to get onto iTunes or other places, there is a different email address recorded. One that Is not a valid email address. And so I cannot go to it to " verify " my details or change them. Any clearer ? As a final option, I could go to Apple for help as this machine of mine is only 2 weeks old & still under warranty. Do u know a number to call ?

Hmm that is a strange problem. You could always deauthorize your computer and try to that. You might loose some stuff that you bought but then you could register it for the one that is on your iPad. You might be able to transfer the stuff from the iPad over after you've set it back up.

I don't know the number for the itunes support, but you can go to this website http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/ and you can go from there. They always help me via e-mail and it usually works out.

    Good luck!!
