Hello, I'm currently 20 days late on my usually regular cycle. I have taken to dollar store urine test, and one at the hospital. The doctor couldn't explain why my cycle was late but didn't offer a blood test either. I have never been pregnant before. I don't really read into what the symptoms are because I know you can make yourself think you're pregnant. But I have had migraines, lower back pain, light nausea, heartburn, some white discharge, and my body has been drained. I don't know what's next. I've scheduled a dr appt, but I'm still wondering what's wrong.

When is your appointment with the Doctor? (Did you check the date on the Dollar Store HPT kit? They are VERY often out of date - warning for the future.)

It could be a wide range of things besides pregnancy. Unfortunately for women, irregularity is common and unpredictable. Are you actively Trying to conceive? Have you recently ended a hormonal birth control? If so, it could take several months for your period to get back on a regular, natural schedule. Stress can also be a factor in causing irregular or temporarily missed periods.

When you visit your doctor they will determine first whether you are indeed pregnant or not. If you are not, they will run tests to check your hormone levels. They will probably look for cysts and tumors or other ovarian issues as well. This is all completely normal. This will help them determine what could be causing your lack of period. Try not to worry about it too much. The doctors will give you the proper care, and advice as to where to go from there. Good luck!

I have been off because for 4yrs and have had an regular period for 3 yrs, this is the longest I've been late. And haven't been stressed about anything either until now

You could try another HPT - but ask your Pharmacist for a recommendation and don't buy at a Dollar Store.

Did you find out? The reason I ask is I am going through the same thing right now. Yet no one wants to follow up on the forums.
