I want to move in with my dad, but my mom is the primary custody holder. I've lived with my mom for 6 years. And I want to live with my dad for at least a year. Is this possible? If so can I get some.advice?

The choice is not yours. Its up to a court. If dad is in agreement, then dad needs to go to court and request a modification of the custody agreement. It would be better if you all talked this over and reached an agreement BEFORE going to court.
