    17hp briggs and stratton motor
    My Toro ride on mower has just had a failed Briggs and Stratton 17 Hp engine. What are my options. I have removed the whole engine and looking at options of any one of the following :

    1. Replace with 17 Hp B&S engine.
    2. Replace with larger B&S engine.
    3. Replace with an alternate maker such as Honda engine.

    I love to tinker but have no mechanical background, so will only appreciate any replies in laymans terms.

    Have no idea, connecting rod, bearings all smashed to pieces.
