So there's this guy at school that I really like! We both play drums/ percussion at school and every time I look over he's staring at me. So I know he likes me even my friends that are friends with him told me that he likes me and I think he knows that I like him to but he won't ask me out and I don't like not talk to him every chanci I get every alone time I have with him I talk to him but he just will not ask me out how can I get him to I'm going crazy just thinking about him now! Why not ask him out? This isn't the 1800's the boy doesn't have to do the asking. You can ask too.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. If you really like him, and want to go out on a date with him, then the only way to get what you want is to take the first step. He's probably thinking the same thing you are.

So you have three options. You can swallow your pride, ask him out, and hope for the best, or, you can forget dating him, or sit around waiting for him to get the nerve to ask you out.

Here's the thing. You sound very young. Judging by your post, I'd guess 13, maybe 14. Chances are that the two of you won't stay together forever even if you do start dating. But, that's not what dating is about in your early teens. It's about going to a movie, or going for dinner. It's about holding hands at school, and sending notes to each other. I don't see how that would ruin your friendship if the two of you are close friends.

You won't find out until you ask him. One of you has to take that step. If you can't, then you'll have to sit around waiting for him.

Ok I really don't think he is going to be the one who asks me out first because he is one of the snare "nerdy" ones you could say and to him I'm really popular I guess and I think he doesn't want to get embarised just like me
