Why is it important that equipment is age appropriate in children's service such as in door or out door equipment

It appears that you are in training to either eventually open your own childcare center/preschool or to work in one. It's a fabulous career if you like working with young children. You will enjoy it immensely... :)

Why do you think age appropriate equipment would be important? One thing to think about is children trying to use equipment that is too big for them, or too complicated for their skill level. What could be the possible outcome?
