    Signs of gengevitis
How do I know if my one year old has gengevitis? Her gums bleed when I try and brush her teeth, and one side of her gums are really swollen. She also will not eat any solids, and finally her breathe is really strong.

How often do you brush her teeth? Did she, or does she go to bed with a bottle? If so, what was in the bottle, formula, milk, juice or water?

It's not easy to say whether your one year old has gingivitis or not. This depends on several things. How often do you brush her teeth? The gums can bleed a little if it is a long time since the last brushing. The gums can also be sore if new teeth are erupting!

If you brush often and the gums are still swollen and she does not want to eat solids after a couple of days, I recommend a visit to a dentist, just to be sure nothing is wrong :)

Of course these are signs of gingivitis.
