Please don't post duplicate threads. I've merged your threads for you.

    Iowa Eviction

This site summarizes the Iowa law. Without a lease you are considered a month to month tenant. Even if you don't pay rent. So you have to be given 30 days to vacate. If you don't vacate by the deadline, he can then go to court for an eviction order.

If he is no longer the owner before that happens through a foreclosure, then you may have 90 days to vacate.

I appreciate your response. Didn't intend to post "duplicate threads". Site redirected me, thought I had to re-enter my information.
What you told me is pretty much what I have been told by every one else, I guess I needed some more reassurance since there is a two year old involved and I can't be homeless with my child.
    Thank you again.
