I was planning on giving my ex a gift for his birthday, and I gave it to him early. It was a guitar... he dumped me for my friend, and I don't know if he still deserves it... What should I do? Does the person you got it from want it back? Did you pay for it and want your money back?

I made the same mistake but it was a card for Valentine's Day.

I'm not sure why you're even contemplating giving the guitar to him. Sell it and buy yourself something nice!

If you already have the guitar, then either use it or sell it if you have no use for it. If you do not, then it would have been all right to let him keep it.

Keep it, and forget the exes birthday. Let the new girl worry about a birthday gift.
