I was not on lease and my boyfriend kicked me out. When I called police in KY, I was told to leave the property and I was not allowed to take my personal belongings. I was told I'd have to sue for my things. I also had utilities in my name at the property.

Police told to to go, huh. And did they threaten to arrest you if you didn't?

You added your question on to an old thread. I moved it to its own thread so that everyone would see it.

The KY police were wrong. You have been illegally evicted. See if you can get a free consultation with an attorney in your area. Sue your boyfriend (ex now, I assume) for illegal eviction and for the value of your property.

Also, contact the utility companies and get some copies of the bills that were in your name so that you'll have proof of your residency there.
