On federal tax return I have only wages & education credit.
Do I need to attach a copy of Federal tax return?

Probably not, unless it says somewhere on the Michigan return to provide a copy of the federal tax return.

If you file both returns electronically, a copy of the federal return is provided to Michigan automatically.

I have one more question. How do I know whether I have to pay city tax or not?
As long as I know there is city tax in some of the cities in Michigan.
In my W-2, there is no Local tax withheld. I resides in Kalamazoo.
