    Brother and sister sharing rooms
Is it okay in North Carolina for my 8 year old son and 5year old daughter to share a room? They have separate beds!

Yes. This question has been asked here many times, and neither North Carolina nor any other state, as far as I know, has any legal rule against it. Use common sense, of course. When the boy reaches puberty in a few years, he probably will want a room of his own and, hopefully you will be able to give him one.

Generally any rules about siblings sharing rooms are on a very local level. Town or county. Usually they are part of housing regs or public housing requirements.

In general it is OK, your local housing authority, or some landlords may have specific rules.

Also if you are being investigated by Children and family Services for some reason, or if you are in the middle of a child custody fight, it can be looked at by them.
