Peugot 206 wet or dry clutch
Not sure for that model, but you could have someone depress clutch pedal while you watch, see if is mechanical or a fluid line running from the hydraulic clutch resovoir down to the clutch slave cylinder.
No, it's hydraulic. Look for the clutch master cylinder and clutch master cylinder reservoir, located along the firewall close to the brake master cylinder reservoir. It has a concentric slave cylinder/release bearing inside the transmission housing. You will see an hydraulic line going into the transmission, along with a bleeder valve. If the concentric slave cylinder truly fails (not common), and not just air in the system or a bad clutch master cylinder, the transmission needs to be dropped to replace it. Before doing anything else, find someone who's experienced with bleeding clutch systems. If there's not air in the system, and the slave cylinder operates properly, the clutch disk has likely worn down too far. In this case, you'll have no choice but to drop the transmission, replace the concentric slave cylinder/release bearing, pressure plate, clutch disk, and pilot bearing. I would install a new clutch kit, if the slave cylinder/release bearing or clutch is shot. Major brands include Peugeot/Citreon, LUK, Valeo, and Perfection.
