Artisan "400" reel type push mower
I have an older reel type walk behind mower. I am looking for information on this mower like who manufactured it and if there is anywhere to still get parts maybe. The hubcaps say Artisan "400" and the same wording appears on a name plate where the two hamdle bars come together at the top. I could not find a serial# anywhere on the machine. It has a 17" reel so it is probably considered as a 16" cut allowing for overlap.

There is no engine it is gear driven by the wheels. I am guessing it is from the 1950's or 1960's. I will submit a pic tomorrow.

    Hi,
My guess is that artisan is merely a model designation. Is it on a decal? My guess is it is. Look for a smaller tag with the manufacturer on it. My guess is that the 400 refers to the with in millimeters common in European model nomenclature.
    Peace,
