Hi I'm in US on OPT and I will be applying for H1 in June. My wife is in India. I want to know when can she apply for H4 and when can she come here at the earliest.

I am reading that she is eligible to apply as soon as your H1 is granted.

She can come to the US as soon as all paperwork is submitted and approved and a visa is issued.

Some people told me that my h1 is valid only from oct of this year so she will be able to come only after that.

I am reading that she can apply when your H1 is granted. I have no idea when that will be. Are you saying you have a guarantee that it will be granted in October? If so, then she can apply after October.
