I haven't got much detail but a guy kills someone and decides to hide in an old cellar. His wife/girlfriend denies knowing where he is but is taking him food and water but is followed by a policeman who the murderer then takes prisoner. Can't remember much more but this is and old b&w movie I saw on TV one Sunday morning a few years ago.
