Well think of something that is an inside joke between you two. Or some fond memory or something that he really likes that you know of. Buying presents isn't easy, so if you have some artistic talent or musical talent or something draw or paint him a memory or write him a song, there are a dozen things you can do. I know this will sound very cheesy but look into your heart, and your fond memories and you might find something :)
