Earlier into the year, I was elected president of NHS. Vice president became "N". And so did the rumors. We are 14 and there were rumors that we were a very involved couple. None was true. We aren't even together. Kids call us Mrs. And Mr. President. Despite the teasing, he has become one of my bestfriends. I talk to him all the time, and yes, as you might think I developed a crush on him. His friends still tease us, and my own mother thinks we would be "cute" together. Do I ask him out and risk getting friend-zoned? Please help.

Neither of us have ever been in a relationship, not ever.
We talk and hang out all the time and it is never awkward like most girls and their crushes are. Unlike most girls, I don't giggle and blush around him.
No, he is not gay.
He knows about many of my family problems, and is fully supportive.
He, in return tells me when anything is going on.
I've known him Since before preschool. Then our friendship grew in the 3rd grade after many years of not talking, and now, as 8th graders, we have become extremely close.

Being fourteen and inexperienced, I say that you should keep your emotions in check. Do you really want to start an actual serious relationship with this boy? Remember, you're both inexperienced so you two might end up having your hearts broken. Be cautious.

Also, you have to be aware if he is giving you signals that he likes you and would like to pursue a relationship. If not, then try to find out if he likes you before doing anything.
