Water not hot when it gets to the bathroom.
We have a new water heater. The hot water does not make it to our showers and bathroom sinks. When it leaves the hot water heater it is 150 degrees. When it arrives to the showers and bathroom sinks it is 118 degrees.
We did not have this problem with our other hot water heater. The plumber says it is because our water line (copper pipe) is sitting flush with the basement wall and that cools it down before it gets to the bathroom. What do you suggest?

What brand and model do you have that heats to 150? They are supposed to be set at 120 and you are getting 118 so I am missing the problem. Does the water come out of the sink at 118 when set to full hot only?

150 degrees? OUCH! Way too hot. Bob's right.
. Water heaters are factory set at 120 and my shower's set at 110. If the pipes loose heat next to the basement walls it's a simple operation to simply stand them off. I'm surprised the plumber hasn't done that already, Good luck, Tom
