    Thermostat is flashing a word
What does the flashing word "filter" mean? I just moved into this house.

If its like my thermostat... its a reminder to replace your funace air filter based on time.

Do you have the user guide for it... if you don't you might want to look it up and print it out... there should be a way to reset that, which will vary by brand and possibly model as well.

Smoothy is right. This is just a timer to remind you. The filter condition does not trigger this message.

Thanks. I had downloaded the user manual from the Internet but could not find a reference to that issue. I'll explore more.

HI, what does the word "wait" on the IV Honeywell Chronotherm refer to. It is on top left hand corner. AC will not come on and thermo was acting odd before this word appeared, ty.
