I cannot read/ work out an artists signature!
I have a print I bought in the 1980's from an artist selling his work in Covent Garden Market.
I know he went on to illustrate greeting cards etc.
His work is either lino print or some kind of etching technique (I think!).
He does a lot of very humorous chickens, geese, ducks and ballerinas, mostly in monochrome with flashes or red here and there.
The print I have is called 'Mona Lisa' and is a very simple and funny portrait of a woman's face grinning... she always reminds me of Olive Oyle from Popeye.
I love his work so much and would really love to buy some more but I cannot for the life of me make out his signature!!
I have photographed the print and the signature if anyone can help.
    Many thanks,
    Sarah.

Take a picture of the signature and attach it in a reply so that we can try to help you further.

Is there anything on the back of it that might give more information?

Also, have you tried calling the Covent Garden Market to see if they know who the artist is that was selling paintings there when you bought it?

Good idea trying Covent Market... I'll give that a go!

Sorry Rick... I'm having trouble, I don't know why!
If you still can't see them, can I send them via regular email to you?
    Thanks!
