Uknown File Folders that I want to get rid of to save space... How?
    Mornin' Folks,

I've got these File folders (all letters, spaces, etc.) that were transferred to a storage disk. I re-installed OS, comp runnin' fine. Now, I would really like to get rid of them. Don't know how to take a picture of the file folder so that I can send it to someone that knows what they are and IF I can rid my sys of them. Can y'all help out?

    Thanks

While viewing the folder with Windows Explorer, the PrintScreen or PrtSc key will copy a screenshot to the Windows clipboard. From there, the screenshot can be pasted (Shift-Insert or CTRL-V) into Windows Paint or another application of choice to be saved as a file or printed.

It ain't happenin'. The saved screenshot is 10mbs. Your capacity for files is way less than that... any other thoughts?

    Thanks

If these files are not part of your reinstalled OS, as your post suggests, then you can remove them without any adverse effects.
If they are part of the OS and required for operation, they will be recreated after a reboot anyway.
How much space are we talking about here ?

    Curlyben,
Uh... DOH!! This has been plagueing me since I very neatly contained ALL(not just one mind you) of them in one neat folder. You're really going to like this next part... Then as I peruse my "Comp" from the Start Menu, in addition to opening a "Manage" window, I have been staring at these files, Oh.. did I mention they were left over from a previous install and were located on an external disk? It occurred to me and as I called myself (not to be written here) some various vernaculars, that my new install and sys were running just fine without all these little so and so's. Without a bead of sweat emerging, they, the offenders, were highlighted and sent to deleted file heaven. As in the ever insightful words of Homer Simpson... DOH!!

Thank you sir for your reply

    Horatio

p.s. I'll endeavor in the future not to waste anyone's effort... thanks again
