Hi,
Recently I went from a dark violet to a black, with violet undertones and then my black that I was using was discontinued - so in order to cover up the whites - I chose another... Now I'm dealing with blue roots and a violet shaft. I don't want to strip my hair, but would rather apply a color that will neutralize them both (if possible) and keep my hair black... Is there a way to do this at home without the use of a stripping agent? I will go to a salon if I have to but I would really prefer not to as cash is tight right now.
Also, I have been trying to lift the blue as much as I can with frequent washing and head and shoulders shampoo which seems to have helped with the intensity of the hue a little...
