Determining the concentration of an unknown solution
This is not "homework" as such. It's for a science competition and we can do research. Here's the layout and materials given.
Q: Experimentally determine the concentration of a solution of Potassium
Permanganate (KMnO4).
Materials:
5 - standard size test-tubes
1 evaporation dish
1 burette
250 ml beaker
Digital balance
20.0g of solid KMnO4
100.0 ml of heated acidified sodium oxalate solution of known concentration
2 - 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask
1 graduated cylinder
1 hotplate
1 bunsen burner
Scoopula
Small Beaker or weighing boat
