I had an injury to my left thumb nail (tip) about 15 years. First, as the nail begins to grow, it splits at the tip and periodically, a short line (about halfway), starts down the nail and hurts. This has been going on for years and my doctors aren't sure if anything can be done. Any thoughts or ideas?
