I have a 1997 honda accord intermitting fuel problem . When I turn the key over sometimes I can hear the fuel pump then the car will start . Other times I do not hear the pump , car will not start.I'm thinking main relay not sure help.

. Clean the main ECM ground, likely located on the thermostat housing.

. Perform the K-Test on the ECM, if the Check Engine Light stays on, at times, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II).

. Check ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.

It could be the main relay, but it's not likely.
