    Appropriate behavior?
Do you think it is appropriate for a father and daughter ( she is 22) to be texting back and forth 5- 15 time each day? She lives with her mother now. While she was growing up they shared custody. ( they divorced when she was 11-12) She is afraid to stay lone, and talks with her dad about her 19 years old brother like she and he are the parents. What should I know as the wife of this man, and one who see the dysfunction of this family system?

I don't see problem with that. My daughter is 30 and she and her dad text all the time. She and I talk and text all the time too.
How long have you been married to him?

I do see a problem, you are judging his family. You need to stay out of it, before you become another ex. There is no issue about him and his daughter texting all day about things.

    This is not a issue.

I should add that I have 5 stepchildren. Quite frankly one of his daughters (I think) pushes the father/daughter thing to the limit. Sometimes I swear she calls to see if he thinks it will rain and should she carry an umbrella? I pray she meets some nice guy, marries him and he helps her with these decisions.

    Tongue in cheek.
