If you know me, you know that I've harbored fantasy's about how bad it would be if right wingers get control of this great nation of ours. I didn't really BELIEVE most of 'em, though. I thought they were just FANTASY. You know, like I thought drug testing welfare recipients was a fantasy. I laughed and laughed when I heard this wacko winger promoting it... Well, we KNOW what happened there...

Another stupid fantasy I harbored was that the government was watching me through my web cam. I laughed and laughed when I came up with that..

Guess what?

Once we actually were protected from the government spying on us. Then, out of fear, we let 'em open the door a crack. They SAID they were only going to spy on foreigners... Some of you believed them. Shame on you. Now, they're making NO pretense about spying on YOU.

Bummer that you stood by and LET (no, that's not the right word) SUPPORTED the government in REMOVING one of the most sacred rights we HAD as Americans... You know who you are. You probably STILL support them searching US.

Of course I would suggest that if Petreaus disclosed the capability ,it suggests that he has no plans to actually use the technology for domestic surveillance . If he had plans to do it then why would he publicly make a statement on it being possible ?

I see nothing in his comments that suggest his intent or desire to use these new technologies for domestic spying ,
