    Could pregnancy be possible?
Hi, mine is kind of a stupid question but really, I do not know the answer.

I had sex yesterday, a day before my last pill. I know sperms can live between 3-4 days inside. I just took my last pill. So now am off the pill for a week before I resume them again. So my question would be, even though am still protected from today's pill, is there a possibility that the sperms could still be alive that tomorrow if I do not take a pill, I might get pregnant?

    Hi papili,

There are no stupid questions... :) Always important to ask if you aren't sure.

Rest assured that you are protected while on your off week. Sperm do not live long throughout most of a cycle. They can only live a few days when a woman is close to ovulation. This is why some pills work to inhibit ovulation.

Do keep in mind, however, that no form of birth control is 100% effective, so pregnancy can sometimes happen with using birth control pills, even when used correctly. It is not common, but it can occur.

It sounds like you are on birth control pills - and since you are on a pill, you will Unlikely get pregnant even when you are not taking the active pills - so you should not worry.
I hope this helps, thank you
