Can my daughter receive more federal funding if she claims herself on her taxes? We claim her right now but she does not qualify for enough federal loan coverage due to our gross income yet we can not afford to help her in any way.

She is 19 and is a freshmen in college. We found that after we completed her FAFSA, she did not qualify for enough subsidized and unsubsidized loans to cover her college tuition. I want to see if she claims herself when filing her taxes, because our income would not be part of the calculation process on FAFSA, if she could get more aide. She also did not qualify for the Pell Grant because of our income too.
