    Can I take my medication?
Okay, so I am really scared because I had sex three days ago and I'm having symptoms of pregnancy already : nausea, throwing up occasionally, tender breasts, bloating, and cramping. However, I had started bleeding a little today, but it has gotten lighter, and my period isn't expected for another two weeks. My question is, can I take my antidepressants or some midol? Cramps are killing me, I'm scared and I don't know if I'm losing my mind or not. Help? ):

You won't show signs of pregnancy in 3 days. You could be nervous, having middleshmertz ('mid-month' ovulation symptoms), getting an early period, or some flu like virus totally unrelated.

This is not to say you are not pregnant, just that you can't go by symptoms this early.

The doctor who prescribes the medication needs to know you are having unprotected sex ASAP so he or she can advise you properly. You shouldn't hide anything from your doctor.

    Hi Linalove03,

It would be very unlikely that you are feeling signs of a possible pregnancy so soon. It is much more likely that it is due to stomach upset.

While some antidepressants would not be considered safe in pregnancy, others are, especially when they are necessary for the mother to continue. Always check with your doctor before making any changes in your use of an antidepressant.

A better option for pain would be Tylenol.
