    EtG testing question
If I consumed 3 vodka cranberrys, 2 colors lights and a car bomb on Saturday night, and 3/4 a bottle of Pinot on Friday night having stopped drinking at 830pm Friday and 1230pm Saturday will I fail an EtG test on Monday night after drinking lots of water with lemon. I'm 23 210lbs? 6 foot

From the time you stopped drinking Saturday until the test on Monday was less than 48 hours and you drank at least 6 drinks (not familiar with a car bomb)?

Most of the test results indicate that you will still have EtG above the detection level of 100 ng at 48 hours and possibly longer (See Helander, p. 59)

In that short of a time really can't predict the result of drinking water as during part of that time you were still producing EtG.

There are examples of passing an EtG test in as little as 39 hours after heavy drinking but that is as unusual as the 80-120 claims.

Also, if the 500 ng cutoff is being used that could also influence the results. It may shorten detection by as much as 25%.

It isn't wise to push the limits of the test to that extent. That virtually assures detection if not this time then the next.
