I'm chatting to a girl who has been working at a orphanage in Nigeria, she has a UK passport and wants to come to Australia and stay here with me. Does she require a PTA to leave Nigeria ?

I'll answer the scam part - my gut says yes.

Nigeria no longer asks that Personal travelling allowance be needed. If she asking you for this, then it is scam.

Didn't know this - good research and worth writing down for the next time it's asked.

They are not even a citizen of Nigeria, so Nigerian law would not apply to them, since their immigration apply to their citizens.

But no there is no PTA needed, it is a scam

It's a scam... run, don't walk away unless you like being played for a fool.
