Please help regarding passing an EtG test
I drank a lot this weekend, a fifth of rum, 3 shots, and 4 beers over the course of Friday and Saturday. I have a test at 630 on Tuesday evening. Do I have any chance of passing an ETG test. I am 37, work out each day, I am in good shape. I weight 140 lbs.

To some degree the calculation depends on the time span, Friday to Saturday, and your rate of consumption. Nonetheless, that is a lot of alcohol and it is almost impossible to determine EtG production and elimination.

That being said, you always have a chance of passing an EtG test. Even detox patients with a BAC >.3 have a range of clearance from 40-102 hours averaging about 66 hours. (Borucki, 2005)

Certainly if reliance is placed on the claims of the testing industry you should have no chance of passing. But the claims of 80-120 hour detection period have proven to be inaccurate, misleading and applicable only to the most extreme cases. However, it could be that you fit into that extreme category. NOTICE: Any person or entity that is subjected to or relies on EtG testing should read this Advisory issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services, September 2006 and remains in effect as of date of this posting. Copy available here > US DHHS Advisory

And why would you do this if you knew you had a test? Do you do this most weekends ?

Do you want help in passing the test or help in stopping your drinking problem?

    Thank You,

Luckily the test was postponed. This weekend, I stopped drinking Sunday, and my next test for sure is Saturday at 9 a.m. That is over 120 hours, I think I will be much better at that point. Thoughts?
