Or at least I think it's a TV show. It's most likely from the 80's to 90's, about a teenage girl or a girl around that age gets stuck into a fantasy world and tires to get back home. It's mixed with several fantasy stories, and I remember that one episode the girl gets kidnapped and somehow becomes like rapunzel and her friends that she makes in the fantasy world need to save her. I also remember that she was a strong character. That's all I can remember about it since I was very little when I saw it.

This sounds to me like a mini-series I watched. This was called the 10th kingdom. I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for.
