Obviously someone that accepts that sort of behavior has no respect for herself. But it's not always easy to walk away.

I've never had a problem walking away from a man that mistreated me. I've been in abusive relationships in the past, before I met my wonderful husband. They only got in one shot. Hit me once, and all you'll see is my back as I'm walking away from you. You'll never get another shot.

But I've talked to many women that have been in abusive relationships. Women that aren't weak, that aren't docile, that aren't stupid. It's not as black and white as many people seem to think it is. It's definitely not always easy, especially if you're married to this man. For some women marriage vows mean more than self respect.

I completely agree that any woman that's being abused should definitely leave the marriage. The same goes for any man that's being abused. But until you walk a mile in this persons shoes, you really aren't in any position to judge.

Why do people in general take back a cheating husband, particularly one who has a child by another woman? Alty covered that one pretty well.
