How to wire a DPDT Center-OFF Rocker Switch Maintained
    Hello, just joined,
    I am axious to learn...

My bathroom has 1 fan, 1 set of lights, and 1 outlet. I would like to install a "Leviton Ivory DPDT Center-OFF COMMERCIAL Decora Rocker Switch Maintained Contact 5686-2I" to make it work this way:

Position On 1: Lights and outlet

    Position Center off-

Position On 2: Lights and fan

Will this switch give me that capability?
If so, How should I wire it?

    Are there other alternatives?

    Thanks

Not likely to be able to make that work because of back circuits. You could have the lights and outlets on one side and the fan on the other. Or you could have the lights and fan on one side and the outlets on the other. Once you try to put any one of the devices on both sides you will get a back circuit from connections to that device to the other side.

Could only be done with an electronic circuitry using diodes and DC power or a number of relays including or excluding each device.
