    Is a verbal lease agreement binding
    My land lord forced me out of my place of residence no 30 days notice it's a verbal agreement to live there he assaulted me and threw me into a wall I left without making a police report and all my stuff is inside the house some of the things besides my personal belongings we are co owners of what should I do to ensure a fair and just outcome?

    Even though you didn't have a written lease, as long as you established residency (paid rent or some utility bills or received mail, for example) then you are considered a tenant. You can file a lawsuit against your landlord for illegal eviction.

    You should also report him to the police for criminal assault. If they were not called at the time, they may not want to pursue it, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

    For the measure of damages for illegal ouster we would need to know what state you are in.

    I have to wonder why you did not call the police , that is the first thing people do when attacked?

    At this point you can try and file charges by calling the police.
    And ask them to go over with you, to allow you to get your things out.

    If not, you sue him for the value of the items in court.
