    Age Difference.
I fell in love with a guy when I was under 16. There is two years 1 month difference. I'm 16, he 14. I love him but don't want to get in trouble?

You can date him, as long as both your parents agree.

Also, what you need to remember is that men take longer to mature than women. So you won't be at the same stage mentally.

We can't help unless you tell us in the most detail you can, exactly what happened.

I'm guessing they've had sexual contact. Yes, Michaellee16, he is a minor and, depending on where you live, you could go to jail AND you would be labeled a sex offender for years and years and possibly the rest of your life.

Is that what you are asking?

No I want to see if that could happen we haven't done it because of the age gap

    Miscaellee@16,

First of all, I would welcome you to this wonderful and beautiful site, dear! I would like to hear all the details about you and your partner, and do not ask in one-liners, come clean and clear about what are your fears, apprehensions, hopes and expectations. After all, what do you want to ask and know exactly? We are really so willing to help you out, but ask, directly and clearly. Sex, age, live-in and love? What is your perspective, dear? By the way, if you are under 18, i.e. a minor both, you should avoid everything but you can befriend each other, you can be friends!

Just one more word of advice - the age of consent varies by where you are. Also, ANY sexual contact with someone underage can get you arrested.

Sometimes people think oral sex is NOT "real sex." For legal purposes, it is.

If you do decide to become sexually active please choose the method of birth control which is right for you. Have a child when you can support that child both financially and emotionally.

She started by stating that she is 16, he is 14.

The age of consent is not 18 in all places. In many it is 16. That is the legal answer. The other half of this question is how mature both parties are, birth control and the like.

But that's not what she asked.

I should have known better - my husband's name was Michael! Sorry about that.

Yes, it's the same where the law is concerned if you are gay or straight.

Obviously you can forget about the "ready to have kids" advice. Again, sorry about that.
