Hello I'm new to this so here I go.. A few years while in high school me and my friends were sitting at a table and I kept hearing my name over and over so eventually I turn around and yell WHAT no one was calling my name apparently no the odd thing is since then I have been in a various situations/ or accidents where I should have met my maker but every time something stopped right before I should have me my maker like I knew it was coming or something just stopped me I'm wondering if it is possible that I am being protected by a spirit or something I know this may seem stupid but I thought I would try something

OK this is my answer... people and objects can have spirit attachment. BUT, as you say you think one is following you. You would know about it, you would be living in great fear if a bad entity. Other than that your spirit guide or deceased family. I started of with fear of being watched thinking a ghost was following me around all my life but you know what, I realised it was nothing to fear, I'm going through a long spiritual awakening and I've slowly developed my psychic abilities, I'm starting to trust. You maybe open to spirit and if you hear your name then you are clairaudient. In my experience when spirit try and communicate such as shouting your name, there trying to get your attention about something or reminding you "hey im here!". Maybe try reading up on different abilities and learn about each one and finding a spiritual church local to you as they will help and teach you about this stuff. But before trying to talk to these voices first thing you have to do is learn to ground and protect yourself, try mediumystics or psychic knight websites, there friendly and fun and you can learn allot.

Friendly and fun can be an open trap.

Hard to say what this "spirit" is. Guardian angels do exist... but so do darker spirits which wish only to draw you into a relationship with them. Be careful how you approach this subject.
