The best thing to do is visit her and meet her family.

Without seeing the passport, I can't tell you and even then, some of them are real good.

What I can tell you (and I truly hope you listen because I do know this stuff) is that most of these "women" are scammers.

    How to tell?

Did she send you an email saying she wants to get to know you?
Did she soon profess to be in love with you?
Does she want to come to marry you but has no money to get out of the country?

What they generally do is to contact you in some way, either through direct spam email or through a dating site. They talk to you for a bit, send you some pictures (usually not even pictures of themselves), and then shortly after that they claim they have fallen in love with you. This goes on for a bit then it goes to how they wish they could see you but have no money for passports, airfare, and such like that. That goes on until you then say that you could help them out. Oh joy! Then you send them the money through Western Union and they are all happy and can't wait to come see you. Next thing you know, something else comes up. Their mother, daughter, son gets sick... maybe they get arrested unjustly. Maybe they get into an accident... doesn't really matter. The point is, they will now need more money from you. It will continue this way until you have no more money to give, at which point, you will no longer hear from them again.

After you have gone through all this, you will be out of the money they scammed from you, you will never see them, you will have a broken heart, and you will feel ashamed that you fell for such a thing. It happens to many people every day.

Does any of this sound familiar? If it does at all, then chances are that you're being scammed. Best thing to do is just walk away, and cut all ties with them.

Oh, did I bother to say that the woman is most likely a man? It's true.

Sorry... I really am. I know it's not easy to hear this about someone that you thought was genuine. I just hate to see people get scammed like this.

Take care and good luck to you.

That looks like a man's signature on the passport. It's supposed to be hers, "the bearer"? Women generally make rounded letters, and men's writing tends to be spiky and pointed. It doesn't even seem to match her printed name.

It's a nice one but they have people that they pay to make phoshop passports. Some people are real good with photoshop. The real test is not the passport but the script that they followed. If your story is similar to the one I posted, then it's a scam.

I've seen ID made by professionals that fools law enforcement specialists.

The only way to know is to go there and meet her.

    I'll bet 99.9% that it's a scam.

The passport photo is always of a young, beautiful, even sexy woman. (No older or overweight women in Ghana?) This woman is young and cute and pouty and looks like someone a guy would want to protect.

    Passport and visa
Could anybody please give me some idea ,what kind of prices to expect ,with a new biometric passport and visa ,from ghana to england for a holiday only ,and does any person have to have medical records or any kind of police record checks , only answers if you know please ,not guess answers ,

Hello, the "new biometric passport" does not cost any more money than the old ones.

In US dollars it is about 300 dollars for the passport and visa. No for a tourist visa there is no medical, I don't believe a police check but they are about 20 US dollars.

You did not ask, but no there is no requirement for having money in the bank before you leave.

You do know Ghana is the number one dating fraud country in the world, there are 1000's of people cheated on girls or men coming to visit.

Do a simple web search on Ghana dating fraud and see how many 100's of thousands of pages come up.

    Passport and visa
I know you have heard this before ,but I wish to have independent advice ,if a women comes to england for a holiday ,how much ,wouldit cost for a passport to come to england and the visa to ,and does the visa come from ghana or does she need to apply to the british embassey in ghana ?

Her visa comes from the British embassy in Ghana, her passport from her nation.

Next on the passport, the photo is far too close to the letters on the right, on top of the A almost and of course if they want to come for a holiday they just come, if not why don't you fly down to Ghana, plane ticket is the same, and you control passport costs, So if this is just to visit and get to know each other you go there. Then you at least have a great vacation, even if she is not there and you may meet some real life people there

You already admitted the other day that the story follows very closely to what I had written out how the scammers operate... essentially, you know this is a scam, yet you can't seem to let it go.

You are going to be soaked of your money, you will not get it back as there is no legal recourse to get it back, and you will never see "her".

I hope I'm wrong but you know I'm not.

I seriously get tired of trying to help people that don't even want help.

This is the reason the scam works so well, people are so desperate to have that beautiful women, that common sense does not work.
Often it takes 1000, 4000, or even 10,000 dollars sent before they figure it out.

If it has to do with Ghana or Nigeria... its a scam and you've been played for a sucker.
