Assalamualaikum WRWB,

I do not have a house in my native country Mumbai India, and my family is facing lot of difficulties without an own house, and the prices of flats in Mumbai and paying the entire cash and buying a flat is just impossible, My question is that whether I can go for a home loan for this need,but knowing that paying riba is haram in Islam, I tried my level best finding an Islamic Bank which can give me a loan without interest but failed to find one and some scholars answered this question that I can go for a loan with interest only to purchase a house because it is a necessity which is unavoidable. I want to know your opinion to make sure whether I am allowed to take a loan for house or not.
